Magna-Tiles® magnetic shapes are the vision of a Japanese mathematics professor who wanted to give his students a more hands-on experience when learning about geometric shapes and concepts. In 1997, Magna-Tiles® were introduced in the United States, with the goals of encouraging unstructured, imaginative play and exposing children to STEM concepts – and the rest is history.
Today, Magna-Tiles® are the best-known magnetic building blocks in the U.S. and have been successfully fusing math, science, and creativity together for over 20 years.
